In this post, I've provided 3 different activities your students can do for President's Day. This includes a FREEBIE

President's Day is on Monday but there are so many different activities you can do this month about President Lincoln and President Washington and U.S. symbols.

Take a look at different activities you can do in your classroom.

1. Board Games - I've provided two different board games with facts about Washington and Lincoln and U.S. Symbols. Students learn information about our country while having fun.

2. QR Codes, Vocabulary and Graphic Organizers - Place vocabulary words on your bulletin board for students to become familiar with terms about the United States. Place QR Codes at a center with iPads so students can go to sites and learn more about U.S. symbols. And, students can organize the information they have learned about Lincoln and Washington by using graphic organizers.

3. Writing - Many of you are familiar with the poem by Judith Viorst "If I Were in Charge of the World." Read the poem I provided and then have the students complete the poem "If I Were President..." Students can create their own mini-book about Washington or Lincoln.
